#3 Engage With My Social Media Stuff
Watch my reels (or pretend to), like my posts, share, comment, follow—everything helps!
This will encourage the algorithm to show my book to readers and get a little more exposure as we get closer to pub date.

#4 Tell. Everyone.
Seriously. Word of mouth is still a super powerful tool for finding readers. Here’s a quick pitch you can use in a pinch: The book is a cozy Halloween fantasy that’s like Gilmore Girls meets Charmed. And there’s a sassy corgi in it!

#5 Come to My Parties…and Bring Friends!
I’ll be in conversation with some exceptionally witty authors in the Bay Area during launch week at some really special bookstores. I’ll be at Noe Valley Books in San Francisco on Tuesday 8/18 (launch day) and Mrs. Dalloway’s on Saturday, 8/22.

#6 Request My Book from Your Local Library
YES! It helps an author when you ask a library to stock your book. You can give your library circulation desk a call and ask for my book directly OR you can just search for “request a book from [your library name here]” and see if there’s a form you can fill out.
#7 Pre-Order from Your Local Bookshop
Not free but still a huge help! Preordering from your local independent bookstore helps get my book on shelves and in front of potential readers. Especially if you, your friends, your neighbor, your work besties order from the same bookshop. Even just 5 orders from one bookshop could be enough to pique a bookseller’s interest to read, (hopefully) love, and stock the book to introduce to their customers.
And YES my book will be available in audiobook form, you can preorder from wherever your ears get their stories
